I received a big surprise last week. I received a phone call from a fellow woodturner who had seen a mention of this website in the March edition of the British magazine ‘Woodturning’. I was blown away! Today at our local meeting he showed it to me.

We have recently had the yearly exhibition of our club and I had the following items on display.

Each piece has been passionately crafted and represents many many hours of handwork.
Virtually the last of this wood that I have. I had been saving this as I expected the grain to spectacular. All of these are about 50 mm (2″) tall. A nice change to my normal turnings.
The leaves are inspired by Ron Fleming a awesome turner/carver. Google him to see more. The flowers are mine of course. It’s turned from Jacaranda and it about 180 mm (7″) tall. This has been quite a journey for me!
